Matriki Beach Huts offers affordable Aitutaki adventure traveler accommodation. The “Beach Hut” is a 12 square meter thatch-roofed beachfront hut, with secluded deck overlooking the beach, lagoon and ocean beyond the reef. It comes with fridge and limited cooking facilities as well as an outside shower under the trees and stars. The windows are screened only, providing plenty of ventilation. There are shutters for rainy weather. The double bed is mosquito netted. Our two storey, beach front “Treehouse Hut” offers two units, one above the other. The upstairs unit, comes with kitchen facilities, fridge, dining table, screened double bed, a private deck and separate outside shower downstairs. The bottom hut is the largest and comes with a double and an extra single bed, kitchen facilities, fridge, dining table, shower out the back and a deck to the beach. Both also have screened windows for ventilation and shutters for bad weather. All huts are self-servicing and share a flush toilet at the back of the property, except for the garden unit which has its own indoor shower and toilet. There is solar hot water on sunny days. Linen, towels and bedding are provided. Our “Garden Unit” is a large room built onto the side of the family house, 30m back from the beach. It has a separate entrance via a deck facing the hills, kitchen facilities, ensuite shower and toilet, a mosquito netted double bed and a fold-down single bed. There are ocean/beach views over the garden. It is also screened with louver shutters for privacy and wind/rain protection. Come and enjoy what Aitutaki has to offer. Fred & Kristene |
